Former Rt. Hon speaker Dr. Jemma Nunu Kumba Pays Courtesy Visit to Speaker Ngere, Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Legislature.

Juba — In a show of solidarity and institutional continuity, a former Speaker of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly (TNLA) Dr. Jemma Nunu Kumba today paid a courtesy visit to Rt. Hon. Joseph Ngere, who recently assumed office as Speaker of the Assembly.


Speaking to Junub Celebrity Gossip shortly after the meeting, she extended her warmest congratulations to Speaker Ngere, noting that his appointment reflects the confidence and trust placed in him by the leadership of the nation.


“Having had the honour and privilege of serving as Speaker of this august House, I am fully cognizant of the weighty demands and responsibilities that accompany the office,” she remarked. “It is a role that requires impartiality, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the people of South Sudan.”


The former Speaker further pledged her readiness to provide counsel, share her institutional experience, and support ongoing efforts to consolidate legislative effectiveness and advance national progress. She underscored the importance of a strong, independent, and vibrant legislature as a cornerstone of democratic governance and national unity.


She also wished Rt. Hon. Ngere every success as he steers the affairs of the House, expressing optimism that under his stewardship, the TNLA will continue to serve the people with diligence, integrity, and purpose.
