Uuzaga Solo (born Eyobo Richard Awod Tikimo) is a talented South Sudanese musician, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer, best known for his catchy Rhumba-Congolese music style.
Born in 1991 in Gangura, Yambio, his musical journey began at 10, when he started playing guitar in church. Since then, he has mastered a wide range of instruments, becoming a highly skilled solo guitarist, rhythm guitarist, bass player, pianist, and drummer. Alongside his music, Uuzaga Solo holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Catholic University (Juba Campus), giving him a smart, business-minded approach to his career.
His professional music career kicked off with formal training at Revolution Records Africa under Emmy J. Yoere. Building on this solid foundation, he officially became a full-time producer in 2018. He has since worked with top studios like Mega Vibes Records and United Records.
A major collaboration with legendary female artist Sweet J firmly put him on the map in the regional music scene. Today, Uuzaga Solo is not just an artist known for producing great Rhumba hits; he is also a successful music executive. In 2023, he set up his own production studio, Vision Records, and successfully launched the Vision Live Band in 2024. Through his producing, live gigs, and studio leadership, Uuzaga Solo continues to shape the sound of modern South Sudanese music.
